A few months ago we went to a celebration for a friend and Orland got to try out the drums. My mom just sent me a few iphone shots that were too precious not to share. This little boy drummed like it was "old hat" and he would have performed all night had we let him.

It's no surprise that this "son of a musician" loves music! Papa got him a piano for his birthday and he has been at the keys non-stop. Such a sweet sight to see.

Today I wanted to take a minute and give a shout out to the very talented, fun, loving, kind, incredible, versatile and all around wonderful guy: Brian Hess. Not only is he the father of my child, he is an amazing musician among other things. His passion is music and this is so clear when you see and hear him play.

If you know anyone getting married this summer give Brian a shout!

My brother and my amazing niece came to visit this week. We had two days of a family band. If you think this photo is great, imagine the video :) Nothing like a 3 1/2 year old impromptu song lyrics. Complete with a banana microphone.

Music men

Papa doesn't "really" play the gee-tar. However, lately he has been playing up a storm. These are pics from the storm in yosemite (notice the wet ground) that I thought were too sweet not to share. He has also been playing Orland to bed. Its quite amazing seeing his sweet little eyes fixed on his papa, and then, close into a deep sleep. One of the sweetest things ever!

O and I went to Papa's show this morning. It was AWESOME! We dressed up as a monkey and a monkey trainer. Nothing new really. Except today I got to be the trainer.
