summertime

It is officially summer. The sun has been kissing our skin and the wind has been teasing the pollen off the trees.
I have been smiling and sneezing.

Micro & Papa have been enjoying a lot of time together.

the two of them went down there today while I worked. I just received this photo 2 minutes ago... so jealous!

It was the second week of Truckee Thursday and the Farm booth is looking great! Micro and I didn't make it down to the farm this week but we were so happy to see all the starts at the market. Yeah Amy!!!

CHICKENS!

This week Micro has been obsessed with Chickens. He did have a little run in with "the white one" as we call her, she thought it was a good idea to see if his wee pinky was a plump worm. This photo was snapped just mila-seconds before the "incident".

This was a big week for Micro. Our Farm visit was epic and left us wanting. But for now we are OK with being able to walk to our little farm and visit the chickens, even if they do get mad at us for interrupting their egg laying.

I am happy to say that the sun has finally shown its face and we are officially starting summer here in the mountains. The Little farm at the end of my street is really starting to come alive! The Farmers Market started this week and Papa is off for the summer starting next Wednesday... YIPPIE!!

It is June 2nd and this is what my world looks like right now. Cold, White and beautiful. A perfect day to get busy sewing... Now to get Micro to sleep!

around the farm

One of my favorite blogs farmama is doing a weekly post called "around the farm." I thought I would join in this week and share a farm that is just down the street from our house. My dear friend is tending the land and it is going beautifully.

The plastic isn't up yet on the greenhouse so she is working overtime covering and uncovering the beds everyday. Living at elevation (5817 feet) definitely has its limitations, but it is also incredibly rewarding. I can't wait to see this farm in full bloom soon!

and YES I am living vicariously through this little farm down the street. I have NO yard.
