Yesterday we took part in a 350 event. It was a 10-10-10 Global work party. If you don't know about 350.org I highly suggest you check it out. It was new to me!
It was so much fun and reminded me of living in Sonoma County. It took place at Shaw Family Farm, which is a local farm here in Truckee. They grow just about every veggie possible, raise chickens, bees, pigs, ducks, and have 4 amazing work dogs.
Orland wore his Carhart overalls and flannel shirt (the true sign of a good farmer), we were surrounded by positive thinking local Truckee-ites, and we all had a delicious potluck at the end of our day. It was a great reminder of the power of each individual in a community. Many hands make light work.
It was also a wonderful Fall day in the mountains. I love fall!
