I am sad to say this little guy hit our window, but I am HAPPY to say he made it out alive! It went like this

I heard something go thud. I looked outside and saw a still lifeless bird on my deck. I got really sad and thought of how I would do a burial service for this little fellow. Then I thought hold on maybe he is just knocked out and would like to come inside get out of the snow and have a drink of water. This is what we did! (and snapped a photo) then he flew happily into the wind. He was a baby Woodpecker! Amazing!
